San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts Summer Programming

In June and July, kids and teens (3 to 15 years of age) can explore their creative sides and learn more about art and nature! Easily register online and learn more at samfa.org/camps.

Art of Nature
Campers spend their days in activities such as canoeing or fishing on the Concho River, creating learnscapes, hiking, hearing about native plants from a local botanist, creating community art from nature, visiting the Farmer’s Market and creating healthy snacks.

June 6 - 10 Concho Clay (7-9yr olds)
June 13 – 17 River Rat Art (7-9yr olds)
June 20- 24 Concho Clay (10-12yr olds)
June 27- July 1 River Rat Art (10-12yr olds)

Art Camp
Campers will study artists within SAMFA’s collection and learn artistic processes including clay, painting, drawing and collaging.

July 11th – 15th, 2022
9-12: Ages 7-10, Monday through Friday
1-4: Ages 11-15, Monday through Friday

Helping Hands
A family learning program that is designed for 3-6 year olds. Sessions will be one hour
long on Saturday mornings, 10:30 am - 11:30 am June 11-30th.

Artist workshops
Studio concentrated, fine art programs led by classically trained local artists in July. 

If you were unable to register for camp, SAMFA offers free programming every Thursday at Art Thursday and every 2nd Saturday of each month at Family Day!
