Full Moon Hike
San Angelo State Park
Under the illumination of the full moon we will hike to the Primitive Campground at the San Angelo State Park. There we will look through a telescope focused on the moon for a more in depth look, take a constellation tour of the night sky, and then hike back with UV lights to find night animals. Important information for the Full Moon Hike: The hike will begin at 6 P.M. at the Chaparral pavilion Please wear proper shoes (no sandals or open toe) and bring a drink If you have a flashlight with the red light option please bring it The hike will be around 1 mile all-around, and take about 40 minutes to and hour The event will be limited to the first 25 people who register at the gatehouse (325) 949-4757 Enter at the South Gatehouse located at 362 South FM 2288; entrance fees are $4 for adults 13 an up and children 12 an younger are free.
